“Can you design me a London house? My wife has been to London right now, she loves the way houses are designed over there. If you can design my house in London style, it will be a surprise gift from my side to her once she will be back”

Yes, this is what my client asked me about our maiden meeting. I said, “Sir, though I have never designed such a themed space, I am quite excited about it. I am confident to take your challenge”.

Gosh, what excitement for that project. Till date blood starts pumping high.

Thanks to Wikipedia for giving me the understanding the architectural, history of London.

It says “London is the largest and capital city of England and the United Kingdom. Founded as the ancient city of Londinium in the first century CE by the Romans as the capital of the Roman province of Britannia, London has been an inhabited settlement almost continuously since. After the Roman withdrawal from Britain in the 5th century, the layout of the Roman settlement became the approximate blueprint of the Saxon and medieval city.”

Characterised with a touch of minimalism, the furniture here is a combination of modern & classic with fewer carvings on it. Elements like an antique mirror, classic lamp shades, geometric patterned throw pillows add on a lot to end result. Mouldings on walls and ceiling are default elements and are timeless.
